No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no cookie banner asking you to agree to any of them.
That is not a stance we are taking to make a point. It is simply that nothing this website needs to do requires storing a file on your device, so we do not.
We do want to know roughly how many people visit and which pages are useful, because it tells us what to improve. We use Counter, a privacy-focused analytics service running on servers in Frankfurt, Germany, which counts visits without cookies, without logging and without collecting anything that identifies you personally.
It records things like the page visited, the country, the type of device, and the site you arrived from. It does not build a profile of you, follow you to other websites, or pass anything to advertisers. There is nothing to opt out of, because there is nothing about you being collected.
Where a page includes video from a platform such as YouTube or Vimeo, those players do set their own cookies, and we would rather that was your decision than ours.
So they do not load automatically. You will see a still image with a play button, and the player only loads if you choose to click it. Until you do, the video platform receives nothing from your visit. Once you do, that platform's own privacy policy applies to what happens next.
Like essentially every website, our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs of requests to the server, including IP addresses. These are used to keep the site running and secure, and they are not cookies. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
If anything here is unclear, email and a person will answer.
